Hi all, I want to install cyanogenmod onto my Straight Talk S4 - model number SM-S975L. I am very new to the world of rooting phones and flashing roms and the like, so I'm not positive that I know what I think I know, so I'd like to clarify a few things.
1st, there are a bunch of S4s supported by CyanogenMod, but it doesn't show my model. Does this mean I cant put cyanogenmod on my phone? Or does this quote from the cyanogenmod website -'Soon after the release of CM 11 M3, all Qualcomm-based variants of this device were merged into a single build: jflte.'- mean I'm good?
2nd, is there any risk of permanently damaging my phone if I was to tinker around and try to install cyanogenmod but ultimately fail?
And 3rd, how would i go about creating a backup of my current setup to have to fall back on in case i don't succeed?
