Toshiba laptop running Windows 7 Professional, 4GB RAM, Microsoft Security Essentials. Appear to have been infected such that IE11 runs CPU at 100% and can therefore not load sites etc. Then downloaded/installed Firefox in Safe Mode with same result. As CPU running at 100% can not run any other applications. Switch wifi off and, though it takes a little while to run down, CPU usage returns to 'normal' and can carry out other tasks.

Ran a full scan with Microsoft Security Essentials - took 15 hours to complete - nothing found.
Downloaded RogueKiller in Safe Mode - idenitfied and deleted four instances of a pum - restarted laptop but same symptoms - respawned?
Downloaded Malwarebytes in Safe Mode - nothing found.
Have now removed Roguekiller and Malwarebytes.
Any help much appreciated.
